First, and most important - don't forget to renew! We don't want to lose you, and I'm sure you don't want to miss out on being a part of the Mensa family. In fact, take a moment and check out the multiple year payment options: 3 years, 5 years or life membership packages are available at a savings. I consider Mensa as my second family; there are goods things/people, and some not so good things/people, but overall it's something I can see as being a part of my life on a permanent basis. So I opted for the life membership. (Yup, whether I'm RVC, LocSec, or a plain vanilla member, I'll be around!)

Next, Marc Lederman is planning on adding a new section to the regional website: a calendar page which would include events held by a local group, but where neighboring group members might also have an interest, and are encouraged to attend. The idea is to give Region 2 members who live close to other groups more access to local events and more opportunities to meet Mensans and get involved. Each local group is encouraged to forward to Marc any local events from their calendar that would welcome members from neighboring groups and he'll put them on the website.

And speaking of the regional website, you have checked it out, right? www.region2.us.mensa.org

If any of the info is not correct, or you find a broken link, please be sure to let Marc know. This website is YOUR website - so if you have any ideas as to what would be useful and/or an interesting addition, please let us know about it.

By the time you read this, Snowball will have already taken place and I'm sure I had a wonderful time! (I always do!) Meanwhile, I hope to see many of you at the Maryland RG - April Foolin' Around - in April.

On a personal note - settlement has taken place: I'm now the proud owner of a 150+ stone home and am literally surrounded by half packed boxes, wondering how I managed to collect so much stuff and where I'm going to fit it all. Unlike George Carlin, I didn't get a larger house so I can fit more "stuff", but one with less storage space, so I need to decide what is not really needed...
